Member Publication: POCUS in PA Education — A National Survey

SPOCUS members contributed to a peer-reviewed publication examining the integration of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) into physician assistant education nationwide. Title: Point-of-Care Ultrasound in Physician Assistant Education: A National Survey Journal: Journal of Physician Assistant Education Published: March 2025 PMID: 40052818 This survey-based study assessed the current state of POCUS education across PA programs in the United States, identifying gaps, training modalities, and opportunities for curriculum integration. The findings highlight both the growing interest in POCUS training among PA programs and the barriers that remain — informing SPOCUS's ongoing advocacy and educational efforts.
