Membership to SPOCUS acts as a vehicle for like-minded providers to collaborate and support common goals, such as the support of clinicians to incorporate and utilize POCUS, as well as support undergraduate medical education and PA programs get on the path to ultrasound integration.
SPOCUS is a society that believes that a successful ultrasound presence is achieved with collaboration from mentors within the Clinical Ultrasound Community who are willing to guide, counsel and advise our member providers on how best to approach barriers and overcome difficulties.
While many SPOCUS members are fellowship trained, certified or have years of experience in clinical ultrasound, our core membership is comprised of novice users who wish to increase their ultrasound presence in their practice or academic institution.
We proudly reach out to novices, faculty, and students who have a desire to increase their ultrasound presence and provide a warm welcome into the enlightened circle of providers who provide the very best care to their patients, through the use of clinical ultrasound.
Member benefits include programs like the Student Ultrasound Interest Sections (SUIS), and faculty Train the Trainer Programs as well as consulting on ultrasound machine selection for practices or programs. Our members also have access to our Directors in A Box program to help you establish a formal POCUS program and empower you to become part of the leadership team in your practice.
Members are also eligible for discounts on SPOCUS ultrasound workshops and will continue to receive the benefit of clinical and administrative mentorship, long after the workshop is completed.
Do you have an ultrasound study, project or workshop you need help funding? SPOCUS members have access to our grant writing team that will take care of the paperwork and application process so our members can focus on doing what they do best, teaching clinical ultrasound and taking care of their patients.
SPOCUS is also actively seeking Mentors, instructors and Society leaders, with opportunities to publish and develop national standards for physicians, NPs and PAs to follow.
